Patrick Stewart is doing his part to help keep his fans entertained and calm down the coronavirus pandemic. Sir Patrick, as he’s fondly known, has taken to reading Shakespeare in videos that are posted to social media. And, yes, they are super soothing and we love him.
Fans have taken to telling Stewart that his voice helps him feel calm during this stressful time, which is how this got started.
Right now, Stewart is reading Shakespearean sonnets to his fans. In a video released on Sunday, March 22, Stewart said, “When I was a child in the 1940s, my mother would cut up slices of fruit for me (there wasn’t much) and as she put it in front of me she would say, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” How about, “A sonnet a day keeps the doctor away”? So…here we go: Sonnet 1.”
Here are the couple videos we have so far below.
