Lucifer Season 5A Trailer Has Brothers, Break-Up Bangs, And Beatdowns

Here’s a great philosophical question for our time: are they break-up bangs if it’s less of a break-up and more of the love of your life having to head to Hell to stop demons from overrunning the Earth?

Either way, Chloe (Lauren German) is rocking them in the trailer for Lucifer season 5a, which covers the first eight episodes of the bifurcated season 5 of the series. Oh boy, there’s more than break-up bangs to worry about.

Like, apparently, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) being back! Except not, it’s his twin brother Michael (also Ellis), who is here to take over his brother’s life in every way possible. Gets real skeevy when you see those scenes of Chloe and “Lucifer” together.

Also he has an American accent. It’s not a bad one either. Good for you, Ellis.

While Michael tries to take over and/or ruin his brother’s life, there’s Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) and Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) ready to lay the smackdowns. Chloe, at least, also seems to be real suspicious of this Lucifer.

And Lucifer’s also here to lay down the hurt on Michael.

But, for those of us who guessed the twist happening (like this trusty writer), we’re going to pat ourselves on the back and groan at yet another obstacle getting in the way of Lucifer and Chloe’s one true love.

Lucifer will drop season 5a on Aug. 21.
