Social distancing is well and truly controlling our lives right now, which we are not complaining about. We are staying distance so to flatten the curve and try to stop the spread of COVID-19.
In order to drive the message home, sort of, Good Morning America grabbed a team of Disney Broadway actors to sing the Hercules classic “Go the Distance”. This performance was part of a “Day of Hope” programming that spotlighted on food bank workers and struggling families on the frontline of the pandemic.
Jelani Alladin (who played the lead in the Central Park Hercules), James Monroe Iglehart, Ryan McCartan, Adrienne Walker, Ciara Renee, Heather Headley, McKenzie Kurtz, Michael James Scott, and L. Steven Taylor, all previous Disney on Broadway actors, sang the song. (Hint, hint: Maybe let Alladin do the thing on Broadway, you know? When it opens up again.)
Check out the singing below.
