Face masks! They’re the new normal while we all deal with a global pandemic across the globe. It seems especially hard to get people to wear them in the US.
Why? The sins here are numerous and headache inducing. If you can’t lead by example, then lead by disappointment. Tom Hanks, America’s Dad, is disappointed in you, non Face Mask wearing person! That’s right. Dad’s not angry. He’s just disappointed.
According to People, Hanks said.
“There’s really only three things we can do in order to get to tomorrow: Wear a mask, social distance, wash our hands. Those things are so simple, so easy, if anybody cannot find it in themselves to practice those three very basic things – I just think shame on you. Don’t be a p—-. Get on with it, do your part. It’s very basic. If you’re driving a car, you don’t go too fast, you use your turn signal and you avoid hitting pedestrians. My Lord, it’s common sense.”
Hanks would know what he’s talking about because he and his wife have had the coronavirus. While they have made a full recovery, they are determined to make sure the rest of us don’t get sick.
So please don’t disappoint Tom Hanks, guys.
