The 2014-2015 TV season is slowly coming to an end, much to the dismay of viewers as the dog days of summer are about to kick off. For me, this past year of television has been quite rocky, with its share of ups and downs.
We’ve said goodbye to old friends (Glee, Parenthood, Revenge) and welcomed new ones (The Flash, Agent Carter, iZombie) along the way, with even more new ones to come with the launch of the fall season.
I will have to say that this past year of television has been quite frustrating for me. So many of my favorite shows have left me completely speechless as they have declined in their writing styles, plot lines, and their ability to hold my attention. It really makes me think that Seinfeld had the right idea all this time by ending while it was still in its prime. Many shows may want to take that into consideration before running off all their viewers with poor judgment calls.
As the TV season draws to a close, I have decided that I need to cut some shows out of my life as they no longer have my interest.
In a way, this is my break up letter to those shows.
Goodbye Once Upon A Time, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, American Horror Story, and Sleepy Hollow. We had a good run but now it’s time to part ways.
Here’s hoping that the fall season brings me new shows to fall in love with.
Who will you all be saying goodbye to, readers? Definitely hit the comments and share with us.
Until next time,
