Oh Netflix, how I love you so, and the news that I will be able to visit the residents of Stars Hollow whenever I want has just made my weekend.

It has been announced that Warner Bros. have signed an exclusive deal with the streaming site to include the entire back catalogue of Gilmore Girls on their service.  You lucky US Netflix subscribers will be able to watch all seven seasons of the show which stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel from October 1.  There is no news as to whether the UK service will also be included in this deal, but I really, really hope so.

I adored this show when it was first shown from 2000 – 2006, which tells the story of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore played by Graham and Bledel respectively. Who can forget the kooky residents of Stars Hollow? In fact, looking back the cast was just stellar.  For example, Rory’s first boyfriend Dean was played by Jared Padalecki who of course is now the star of the hit show Supernatural, and my personal favourite, Logan, played by the delicious Matt Czuchry can now be seen in The Good Wife. We also get to see Melissa McCarthy pre Bridesmaids as Lorelai’s best friend and business partner Sookie St James. Especially for you eagle eyed Marvel fans out there, the kooky and strange Kirk was played by Sean Gunn, who of course is the brother of Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. He also played Kraglin in the movie as well as being the motion capture artist for Rocket Raccoon AND Thanos. Gunn is comedy gold in Gilmore Girls and he will have you laughing out loud every time you see him.

If you have never watched this show, I urge you to make time to utilise this awesome opportunity. You will not regret it AND I guarantee that the theme tune for this show will be stuck in your head for weeks.  I can’t wait to revisit Stars Hollow and fall in love with all the characters again, especially Luke and Lorelai, and Rory and Logan.
