The news that one of my favourite actresses from Downton Abbey will be making a guest appearance on the Fox hit show Bones has just made my day. Executive producer Stephen Nathan told TVLine that Phyllis Logan will be making an appearance in the 10th and final season of the crime drama, which stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel.
Nathan said that Logan, who plays housekeeper Mrs Hughes in the ITV drama, plays a character Sandra Zins who “is a wealthy woman whose housekeeper has been murdered. Her attempts to help are revealed to be a cover for something much darker.”
Logan’s character will be part of the investigation in the sixth episode of the final season (sobs) which will air in mid November.
This is brilliant news because Bones is one of my absolute favourite TV shows, as is Downton Abbey, and I have been a fan of Logan ever since I had the pleasure of seeing her live on stage back in 2002. Good news all round for all us Squint fans.
Bones returns to our screens on Thursday September 25 at 8/7C on Fox.
