It has been absolute ages and ages since Sleepy Hollow was last on our screens.

The surprisingly popular series ended its 13-episode first season on a huge cliffhanger. Lieutenant Abbie Mills and her time-traveling partner Ichabod Crane were separated. Two out of the four Horsemen had arisen. Sheriff Irving had been arrested. It was just insane.

There is now, however, a light at the end of the tunnel. Well for fans at least, not for Abbie and Ichabod.

According to Digital Spy, the 18-episode second season of Sleepy Hollow will premiere on September 22nd at 9pm EST.

This comes after news of new recurring characters for the show’s second season. Not much is known about the second season of the show, except that filming has started and that the cast is set to return.

No other shows premieres have been released by Fox yet. This news comes after NBC released their season premiere schedule yesterday.

Stay tuned for the premiere dates of more shows!
