Mortal KombatĀ has released the first trailer for the movie.
And it’s bloody and gory, but, damn, it looks so cool!! Like, so much better than when they tried to make the video game franchise into a movie in 1995. That one was…wow. Something.
The synopsis for the film reads: “A washed-up mixed martial arts fighter named Cole Young (Lewis Tan) is unaware of his hidden lineage or why he is being hunted down by Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim) of the Lin-Kuei clan of assassins. Concerned for the safety of his family, he seeks out a clique of fighters that were chosen to defend Earthrealm in a high-stakes battle against the forces of Outworld.”
Mortal KombatĀ heads to theatres and HBO Max on April 16.
