
Things are really moving quickly over at the set for Moon Knight, another Marvel series that will be released at Disney+.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, May Calamawy (Ramy) has joined the cast, which has Oscar Isaac starring at the titular character. The production will probably be dropping more casting news soon as its aiming for a production start in March 2021 in Budapest.
Calamawy’s is currently being kept under wraps. All we know is that it is “key” for the series.
Moon Knight is a relatively unknown Marvel character. Though dedicated fans to the comics would recognize him with his all white ensemble. His name is Marc Spector. This is erratic vigilante gets his powers from the Ancient Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Of course, there are many different variations to the character’s origin story. It’s basically a grab bag to what will be chosen.
The show will be directed by Mohamed Diab (Clash) and recently announced indie horror team Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Synchronic). Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) serves as showrunner.
Moon Knight does not have a release date on Disney+.
