Lucas Brothers To Write And Star In A Reboot Of Revenge Of The Nerds

Revenge of the Nerds is definitely one of those 80s movies that has not aged well. Like at all. The 1984 sex comedy was popular for its time, following a rivalry between jocks and nerds. It proved to be surprisingly popular as well, making back its low-budget quite easily.

While it has a place in popular culture, it really has not aged that well.

In that case, good news that it’s getting a reboot.

According to Variety, the comedy duo the Lucas Brothers are on board to write and star in a reboot of Revenge fo the Nerds. Seth MacFarlane’s production banner Fuzzy Door under 20th Century Studios. These identical twin brothers will pen the script with Alex Rubens.

EW also described the reboot as “contemporary reimagining of the decidedly un-PC original and will pontificate about today’s nerd culture and what constitutes a geek in the 21st century.” Details about the project are being kept under wraps. At this time, there is no director attached.

Currently, there’s no release date. But we’ll definitely keep an eye out for one.
