Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street) is just a fairy godmother in training trying her best in the trailer for the upcoming Disney+ film, Godmothered.
In the film, Eleanor (Bell) is trying to prove that the world still needs fairy godmothers. After finding a misplaced letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor goes to track her down. Except, she’s forty years too late. Instead, she finds 40-year-old Mackenzie (Isla Fisher), who is a single mother working at a news station in Boston. After losing her husband, she’s utterly convinced that “happily ever afters” don’t happen. Eleanor sets out to prove her otherwise.
Anyone else getting some Enchanted vibes here? We’re definitely getting it.
Godmothered also stars Santiago Cabrera, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Jane Curtin, June Squibb, Jillian Shea Spaeder, Willa Skye, Artemis Pebdani, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Stephnie Weir. Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones’s Diary) directed the film.
Godmothered will hit Disney+ on Dec. 4.
