Amazon Releases First Trailer For Their YA Series The Wilds

Amazon’s original YA series, The Wilds released its first trailer.

In the series, which is a mix between Lost and Lord of the Flies, we follow a group of teenage girls that land on an island after a plane crash. Described as a “part survival drama, part dystopic slumber party, The Wilds follows a group of teen girls from different backgrounds who must fight for survival after a plane crash strands them on a deserted island.”

The girls have to deal with some serious new circumstances as castaways while also learning about each other and what secrets they keep. There may be a bigger reason why this particular group of girls have ended up together in the first place from terrible relationships and the facades that they keep on the world at large.

The Wilds comes from creator/executive producer Sarah Streicher (Daredevil) and executive producer/showrunner Amy B. Harris (The Carrie Diaries). Sophia Ali, Shannon Berry, Jenna Clause, Reign Edwards, Mia Healey, Helena Howard, Erana James, Sarah Pidgeon, Rachel Griffiths, David Sullivan, and Troy Winbush star in the series.

In addition to the trailer, which is pretty tense, The Wilds also dropped its release date. All 10 episodes will premiere on Amazon Prime on Dec. 11. Don’t have a Prime account, but curious about the show? Never fear! From Dec. 11-25, you can check out the premiere on Amazon Video with no Prime account needed. It’ll also be available on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

In addition, the poster for the series was released as well, which you can check out below.
