A brand new project is about to hit Netflix and we’re sure you don’t want to miss that! Even more so, because the upcoming murder comedy The Woman In The House will mark Kristen Bell’s next big TV role after the end of The Good Place.
Here is what we know so far.
As Digital Spy reported, Bell is set to make her return to the screen as protagonist Anna in The Woman In The House. The series is billed as a comedy, but not just any run-of-the-mill comedies, but a murder comedy. According to the show’s synopsis, Anna is a character that is described as heart broken. Her days are pretty much the same and life is passing her by. That is until she becomes obsessed with the idea that her handsome neighbour, who recently moved in across the street, was murdered. But is that really what happened? To quote the official synopsis, “That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?”
The limited series will include eight episodes. According to Variety, Bell is not only starring in the series, but will also executive produce it. The creators of the series, Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson and Larry Dorf, will also serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. The trio previously co-created and starred in the TV Land series Nobodies and also worked together on the Adult Swim series Mike Tyson Mysteries. Bell previously guest starred in an episode of Nobodies.
At this moment, there is no date set for when the show will be released, but we will keep an eye open for it.
