Benedict Cumberbatch is stepping back into the Cloak of Levitation for the upcoming third Tom Holland Spider-Man movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cumberbatch will take on a mentorship role with Peter Parker, previously held by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) in the film. More to the point, it looks like by having Strange in the film, there’s a better connection between the upcoming Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
With the news of Jamie Foxx reprising his role as Electro? It definitely looks like Holland’s Peter may be going into the multiverse for his own sort of Spider-verse fun. Now get Tobey Magurie and Andrew Garfield on board? And we are here for it.
Unfortunately, Marvel and Sony did not comment. And the details of Spider-Man are being kept underwraps at this time. Though filming is supposed to start later this month in Atlanta.
Currently, the film has Dec. 2021 release date, but that can always change.
