WandaVision released its first trailer during the Emmys on Sunday night. Oh boy, it definitely promises to be a ride through television history.
From 50s style dresses to 90s grunge, it looks like the couple (Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany) are tackling it all in the series. It promises “a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision, two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives, begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.”
And it seems like that, such as Wanda being unable to answer when she and her husband got married. From there, it just appears to get weirder and weirder. Meanwhile, Vision learns that he’s supposed to be dead.
Talk about a buzzkill.
Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) and Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat) reprise their respective MCU roles of Darcy Lewis and Agent Jimmy Woo. Kathryn Hahn (Transparent) and Teyonah Parris (Survivor’s Remorse) also star in the series.
WandaVision now has the release date of late 2020, meaning that it will be the first Disney+ MCU series to air.
