Ant-Man 3 has found its villain, and it could mean that we’ll see in the Fantastic Four in the MCU at some point in the future.
According to Deadline, Jonathan Majors, who is amazing in Lovecraft Country, has been cast in the upcoming film as reportedly Kang the Conqueror. Now Disney has yet to confirm this, of course. But if it is true? It’s interesting. Very interesting.
Kang is a villain, obviously. He’s also a version of Nathaniel Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm. Basically, he conquered multiple timelines. This makes sense as Rudd’s character, Scott Lang, brought time travel into the MCU, notably in Avengers: Endgame. So the fit makes sense. Add in the fact that the multiverse in the films will be a thing? Well it starts painting a picture as to how the Fantastic Four or the X-Men may come about in the MCU as a whole.
Listen, you just need to step on that metaphorical butterfly and next thing you know mutants exist.
Peyton Reed is set to return to direct Ant-Man 3 along with Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprising their roles from the first two films in the franchise.
