Emily in Paris is a Darren Star series to head over to the City of Lights full time.
The creator of Sex and the City and Younger prefers setting his series in NYC. With this upcoming Netflix original, he’s heading to his other favorite city in the world: Paris. Obviously.
In the series, Emily (Lily Collins) is a marketing executive from Chicago who gets transferred to the Paris branch. She wants to win over her colleagues with some fresh new ideas (harder than it looks), be tres chic, and maybe fall in love along the way. Because, you know, Paris.
The 10-episode first season will consist of half-hour episodes. It also stars Ashley Park (Mean Girls on Broadway, Tales of the City), Philippine Leroy Beaulieu (Call My Agent!), Lucas Bravo (Smart Ass), Samuel Arnold (Antony & Cleopatra), Camille Razat (The 15:17 to Paris), and Bruno Gouery (Doc Martin).
Emily in Paris will premiere on Netflix on Oct. 2.
