Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan are about to go on a bad trip in the trailer for the upcoming horror-thriller Synchronic.
In the film, the pair play Steve (Mackie) and Dennis (Dornan), New Orleans paramedics and best friends, who get called to a series of gruesome and bizarre accidents. They chalk them up to a new party drug found on the scene. Until Dennis’ eldest daughter disappears under mysterious circumstances, it leads Steve to learn about how the drug could change time itself.
Synchronic comes from Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson, who boast an impressive resume of genre work with Resolution, Spring, and The Endless . Though they have a warning if you want to go see the film in theatres. Synchronic will get a release in both outdoor and indoor movie theatres in Oct.
“Due to distribution arrangements that are out of our control, the release of Synchronic into drive-ins and indoor theaters has been confirmed for October 23rd. But we want to be very clear: at the time of writing this, we personally wouldn’t go to an indoor movie theater, so we can’t encourage you to. To us, this isn’t only about feeling safe in a theater, this is also about the scientific community indicating that enclosed spaces like movie theaters are still a hazard for spreading COVID-19 to others.”
Synchronic will hit theatres on Oct. 23.
