The day after Netflix announced when Lucifer season 5 part one will premiere, we get confirmation that Lucifer has scored a sixth season renewal.
Reports and talks about this sixth season have been going on for months. It looked like things got stalled over a contract dispute with series star Tom Ellis and execs. But everything wrapped up nicely, Ellis is returning, and it looked like a done deal.
Except no one said anything about.
But on June 23, the Lucifer Twitter account announced the joyous news. Lucifer‘s sixth season will be the “final, FINAL” season of the beloved series. Season 5 was originally supposed to be the final season, but plans change.

Before we even talk about what Lucifer season 6 will look like, we still need to handle both parts of Lucifer season 5.
Speaking of which, the first part of Lucifer season 5 will drop on Netflix on Aug. 21.
