Netflix’s Disclosure released a trailer today via the Netflix Twitter account. The documentary by Sam Feder tracks the visibility of trans individuals in media, from the days of black-and-white film to shows like Pose. Members of the trans community involved in the entertainment industry sit for interviews.
Some of the interview subjects include Laverne Cox (who also produces the doc), Matrix co-director Lilly Wachowski, MJ Rodriguez (Pose), Jamie Clayton (Sense8), Jen Richards (Mrs Fletcher), Trace Lysette (Hustlers), Chaz Bono, and many others.

Feder released a statement and emphasized the importance of having “only trans people” as featured subjects in the doc.
“We want audiences to enjoy the nostalgia of archival clips while sitting with complicated feelings. We do not want to tell anyone how or what to think. Rather, ask how can we be critically engaged with problematic material, knowing that change happens over time, is not linear, and often people don’t know what they don’t know.”
Disclosure will be released on Netflix on June 19.
