The first trailer for the long-awaited spinoff to 2018’s Love, Simon has finally been released. Entitled Love, Victor, the series follows new kid at Creekwood High School, Victor (Michael Cimino) who adjusts to a new city and tries to navigate those fun, awkward years of exploring your sexuality.
In the trailer, and probably as a framing device for the show, Victor writes to Simon (Nick Robinson) about what’s going on in his life. As Robinson serves as the narrator for the series, we’re thinking that Simon gives him some of the advice that he’s learned from his own experiences.
Victor makes friends, flirts with cute boys, and has a nice dose of teen angst as he takes center stage in his own coming of age story. The trailer for Love, Victor makes it look like a great series to check out. Very much the vibe of the movie and the book by Becky Albertalli.
Also there’s a lone Keiynan Lonsdale who played Blam aka Blue in Love, Simon. Keep your eyes out.
Love, Victor drops on June 19 on Hulu.
