Apparently, there was a Godspeed going on with The Flash.
If you remember the season six premiere, Godspeed(s) popped up around National City. They never made a sound except a strange high-pitched whine that they emitted. In the premiere, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) said they had four in the last month.
I just assumed it had to do with Crisis on Infinite Earths. Grant Gustin, talking with EW, gave a little more clarity on the answers that are forthcoming. In the series 18th (and penultimate) episode “Pay the Piper”, Godspeed and Pied Piper (Andy Mientus) team up.
Whatever happened between Hartley Rathaway and Team Flash was bad enough to send him to villainy. Gustin admitted that “Barry kind of did Hartley dirty.”
He also added, “Hartley really isn’t a friend when he comes back, but Barry’s going to need to find a way to reconnect with Hartley and try to fix what ‘Crisis’ changed and stop Godspeed, and try to save the city.”
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
