Celebrate May The 4th With A Virtual Star Wars Convention

As one after another pop culture conventions have been cancelled or gone on hiatus due to COVID-19, Reedpop is trying to think ahead. The organization is hosting An Online Revelry: May the 4th Be With You and Revenge of the 5th, which will take place, obviously, during the unofficial Star Wars Days.

Reedpop is the organization behind Star Wars Celebration and New York Comic Con. But don’t be confused by this new virtual Star Wars convention. So far, Celebration is still scheduled for August 27-30, 2020 in Anaheim, CA, according to THR. Considering San Diego Comic Con, which would have taken place at the end of July, has been cancelled, there’s probably a 50/50 chance Star Wars Celebration may have to be postponed.

For now, Reedpop is putting together a fun virtual convention everyone can attend next week. The two-day An Online Revelry: May the 4th Be With You and Revenge of the 5th features live-tweeting Star Wars movies and episodes of both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels as well as Q&A sessions and discussions with writers and voice actors associated with the franchise. Fans can also participate in trivia quizzes and giveaways over the two day period. See the full schedule below.

You’ll need to be online and monitoring the hashtags #Maythe4th and #Revengeofthe5th to stay on top of events for this online convention. Social media accounts associated with Reedpop, including New York Comic Con, C2E2, BookCon, Emerald City Comic Con and Florida SuperCon, will be hosting different events for the Online Revelry.
