After years and years of waiting, it looks like that maybe COVID-19 won’t stop production on Black Adam before it even starts.
According to Dwayne Johnson via his Twitter, Black Adam may have to push back their start date on production, but otherwise it will probably be on track for its Dec. 2021 release date. Key word, as always in these uncertain times, is probably.
“We plan on shooting probably at the end of summer now. Probably pushed maybe into August, maybe September.”
Good choppin’ w/ ya @BroBible. Much needed reprieve 🥃 from the craziness we’re all experiencing.
The team is mobilized, ready & can’t wait to start #blackadam.
Hopefully, Aug/Sept. https://t.co/t1vh1AhQRz

Johnson was in the middle of shooting the upcoming Netflix flick, Red Notice, when the pandemic caused all productions to shut down. That project co-stars Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds.
Even though that things are going to be weird for a long, long while, Johnson again stated his excitement and commitment to the film.
Black Adam has a Dec. 2021 release date.
