The cast for Disney+ and Marvel’s upcoming 2021 project Loki has grown by one.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, best known for her role in Black Mirror‘s beloved episode “San Junipero”, has joined the cast of the upcoming series. Mbatha-Raw joins other cast members such as Owen Wilson (The Wedding Crashers) and Sophia di Martino (Flowers). Tom Hiddleston, of course, reprises his role as the title character.
Like di Martino and Wilson before her, Mbatha-Raw’s role is being kept under tight wraps. Hopefully with filming underway, we may get some news about some of the characters involved soon. Based on Loki (Hiddleston) jumpsuit in the “Big Game Spot” for Marvel series on Disney+, the Time Variance authority will come into play.
Loki follows the titular character of an alternate timeline created due to 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Loki grabbed the Space Stone and peaced out.
Loki will be released sometime in 2021.
