Jeremy Jordan returned to Supergirl for a special nostalgic guest stint for the two-parter “Back from the Future” along with, according to images, the 100th episode of Supergirl “It’s A Super Life”.
This marks Jordan’s return since he exited the series at the end of season three. Now, speaking with EW, Jordan admits that he’s happily up for a future return in Supergirl‘s sixth season.
“The second I stepped on the set it was like I had never left and we just had a blast. I would be more than happy to come back and guest star again in the future. I don’t think it will happen this season unfortunately, I think they’re almost done filming, but hopefully next season maybe we can find something and continue the journey.”
As for appearing the 100th episode, Jordan just said that it was a right place, right time sort of thing.
“It was really convenient for me because I was already in Vancouver and I could just do the three in a row. It’s hard to schedule these things because I have a lot of concerts and I have Broadway and off-Broadway gigs. So if we can bunch it all together, it’s so much more beneficial.”
While he kept details about the 100th episode at a minimum, Jordan did say that he thinks Supergirl fans will get nostalgic.
“There’s a lovely scene between Melissa and I where we have one of our old school heart-to-hearts and talk, that’s always just really lovely to get to film. And then getting to do some scenes with Chris and Mister Mxyzptlk was really fun. We had a blast and were laughing the whole time. There are some big moments that happen that I can’t really talk about that people will be really happy with. It’s like a love letter to our fans for always supporting us and being really positive throughout the years. We get to revisit some of these great moments we’ve had over the course of the series and make some fun new memories. What’s great about the 100th episode is it really feels like the end of a chapter and we can move forward from here.”
Supergirl airs its 100th episode on Sunday at 9/8c on The CW.
