The New Mutants Drops Its Long-Awaited Second Trailer

Remember The New Mutants? The superhero horror film that stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch)? It was supposed to come out back in 2018, but was delayed and seeming shelved until Disney saved it?

You know the one.

Well, it looks like things are back on track with the long-awaited film. A second trailer was released today with a promise of some intensity, jump scares, and good ol’ fashion teen angst.

The film follows five teenage mutants (Williams, Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, and Blu Hunt), who are locked up in a psychiatric facility to regain control of their powers. Or that’s what they’re told anyway. The facility, apparently, wants to force them to relive their worst fears until it kills them.

Cheerful, we know.

Fans were scared that The New Mutants was going to be put straight on Disney+, but the film will see a theatrical run.

The New Mutants will be released on April 3, 2020.
