Netflix’s Locke And Key Releases Its First Trailer

Locke and Key released its long-awaited first trailer today after dropping crumbs of teasers for weeks.

The popular horror comic written by Joe Hill and drawn by Gabriel Rodriguez has been in the works for years. The adaptation began at Hulu before moving over to Netflix in 2018. For fans of the series, there are a lot of secrets to tease in the trailer for Locke and Key.

After the murder of Locke family patriarch, Nina Locke (Darby Stanchfield) and her three children (Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, and Jackson Robert Scott) move to New England and the ancestral Keyhouse. The mysterious Keyhouse, however, has variety of odd doors and hidden keys within. These keys can make some odd things happen around the house, such as remove the ghost from your body, create an automaton version of yourself, and, perhaps, open the door to something much, much worse.

Needless to say, it definitely looks stylish and interesting. I never read the graphic novels, but I’m getting like A Series of Unfortunate Events vibes from the style of the series.

Locke and Key will hit Netflix on Feb. 7.
