Digg’s Post-Arrow Cameo On The Flash Will Not Have A Green Lantern Connection

Arrow may be over, but that doesn’t mean the series finale is last we’ll see of the characters within the Arrowverse.

When The Flash returns on Tuesday, Feb. 4, we’ll see Digg (David Ramsey) head over to Central City to help Barry (Grant Gustin) and the rest of Team Flash. What we’re most curious about, however, is a little green ring that Digg found in the series finale of Arrow.

Digg was getting ready to drive the moving van to meet Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson) and the kiddos at their new home in Metropolis when suddenly BOOM! Meteorite with a Green Lantern ring crashes into Earth. With it brings some definite glee to fans as we’ve been teased with Digg becoming a Lantern for years. (We didn’t see the ring on screen, but we know what it is dammit!)

So when Digg pops over to Central City, will he ask for some help from Barry and crew about the ring? Ummm…well..no. (Plus, it came from space, that seems like a question you ask Supergirl.)

TVLine‘s Inside Line talked with Ramsey, who had this to say on Digg heading over to Central City.

“There’s a whole cast [of characters] over there that’s still recovering from Oliver’s death, and part of the connection to Oliver is Diggle, obviously. So Diggle’s presence there serves as kind of a conduit, a way to grieve. But there’s also a case, there’s something to solve… that Diggle’s a part of.”

He added, “It is John Diggle over there as John Diggle, and we’re working on a case.”

With the move to Metropolis and the glowing green box, we have to wonder if the move means Ramsey will be a regular on the upcoming Superman & Lois series. News on the series cast outside of Tyler Hoechlin and Bitisie Tulloch has been kept mum. And, honestly, we’re always down for more Diggle in our lives.

The Flash returns on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 8/7c on The CW.
