Summer 2020 is going to one for the books as one of Broadway’s highly beloved musical is finally making its big screen adaptation debut. After delivering a teaser earlier this week, the official trailer for Jon M. Chu’s anticipated adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegria Hudes’ musical In the Heights has finally dropped.

For those who may not know what the In the Heights is all about, it follows the story of the people in the largely Latino neighborhood of Washington Heights in New York City. The original Broadway production was quite the hit as it took home several Tony awards including Best Musical.

The trailer itself gives fans a brief musical introduction to the cast of the film. Those small introductions though set quite the pace and tone as the film, much like the Broadway production, will give audiences everywhere a burst of song, dance, color, and all of the emotions.
