Doctor Who is coming back!

After what feels like an endless wait, the popular BBC series has unveiled its release date. If you’re New Year’s resolution was Doctor Who related, then you’ll be pleased to learn that season will premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Following the two-part premiere on Wednesday, Doctor Who will re-settle in its Sunday timeslot on Jan. 5 for the rest of the season. In order to celebrate this, Doctor Who also dropped a brand new trailer.

In it, we see the return of the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) who remains steadfast with her new space fam: Ryan (Tosin Cole), Yasmin (Mandip Gill), and Graham (Bradley Walsh). All we know is that a crisis is coming for the Doctor with all of her lives in jeopardy as a result.

In the trailer, we also see notable guest stars for the season such as Stephen Fry, Lenny Henry (Broadchurch), Goran Višnjić (Timeless) and Robert Glenister (Spooks).

Granted, this is like the umpteenth time that Doctor has been hunted/near death so we won’t believe it until the final regeneration happens.

Doctor Who returns Wednesday, Jan. 1.
