Rapper, actress, and comedic superstar Awkwafina has her own Comedy Central show.

Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens promised to be a delight from the get-go. With a insanely talented and diverse cast to a commitment to include diverse talent behind-the-scenes, the series proves that inclusivity and diversity in film and television is not that hard.

In the first trailer for Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens, we get Nora (Awkwafina) a late 20-something who lives at home and feels like her life has gone off the rails. She has no job, no purpose, and doesn’t know her social security number.

Lucky for her, her family, which include her dad (B.D. Wong), her foul-mouthed Grandma (Lori Tan Chinn), and her cousin (Bowen Yang), has her back. She has theirs as she tries to figure out just what she wants to be when she grows up.

The guest cast list promises some insane talent coming on as well. Jamie Chung (Once Upon a Time), Laverne Cox (Orange Is the New Black), Jennifer Esposito (NCIS), Bella Heathcote (The Man in the High Castle), Stephanie Hsu (The Path), David Krumholtz (Numb3rs), Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll), Harry Shum Jr.  (Shadowhunters), Melissa Villaseñor (SNL) and Ming-Na Wen (Agents of SHIELD) will all appear in the season at some point.

A charming lead? Relatable content? Awesome talent? We’re here for it.

Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens premieres Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10:30/9:30c on Comedy Central.
