A Dangerous New World Wakes Up In Full Length Trailer For The Expanse Season 4

The Expanse returns following a hard fought campaign to score a season renewal following Syfy’s cancellation of the beloved series. Amazon saved the show and we finally have the first full-length trailer for the fourth season. Their faith in the series is so much that it’s already scored a season 5 renewal.

In the trailer, we see the U.N.’s Secretary General Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo) get real about the situation with the mysterious planet, Ilrus. Ilrus lies beyond what is known as the Ring Gate. A group of refugees have claimed the planet for their own and are calling it New Terra.

While the refugees of Ilrus/New Terra are trying to make the planet a home, the remnants and tech of a long gone alien civilization is still around. As they don’t know what it is they’re dealing with, things may not end well for them.

So arrives Jim Holden (Steven Strait) and his Rocinante team in order to figure out what is going on. Jim’s assessment? The artifacts are waking up, which is probably not good. They need to figure out how to turn them off.

Check out the trailer below.

The Expanse season 4 will premiere on Netflix on Friday, Dec. 13.
