Supergirl Releases Season 4 Deleted Scene That’s Peak Nia And Brainy’s Awkward Romance

One of the sweetest and most unexpected pairings to come out of Supergirl’s fourth season is that of Nia Nal (Nicole Maines) and Brainy (Jesse Rath).

(Mainly because in comics Brainiac-5 is usually a love interest for Supergirl herself.)

Still watching Nia and Brainy awkwardly flirt and stumble their way into romance was a sweet season-long affair. Brainy was clueless. Nia thought it was cute. Even though there is the whole “Brainy being a time traveller” thing between them. They’re giving it a shot and we honestly couldn’t be happier.

When Brainy broke out of his “reset” in the season 4 finale to cheer Nia on? I cheered. These two are the cutest.

In a deleted season from the fourth season, we get more of that sweetness between the pair of them. Released by TVLine, the scene that takes place between “American Dreamer” has Brainy giving Nia some encouraging words. For a refresh, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) was laying low due to the Red Daughter (Benoist) framing her for an attack on the White House.

Brainy, of course, predicted some low chances for their work to succeed without Supergirl. He admits to Nia in the scene, however, that he failed to take her into account.

“I wanted to apologize for my calculations in regards to the likelihood that you and I would be apprehended without Supergirl. I forgot to take one important X factor into consideration: you, Nia Nal. When you are taken into consideration, it seems our chances become limitless.”

Excuse me while I go scream into a pillow over how cute they are.

Supergirl will release the season four on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The fifth season will premiere on the CW on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 9/8c on the CW.
