If somehow you could be replaced by a “better” version of yourself, would you want it?
This is the question at the heart of Paul Rudd’s existential comedy Living with Yourself. In the Netflix series, Rudd plays Miles, a man who is struggling with life and goes to a spa that promises that he will leave a new man. What happens is that Miles finds he’s been replaced by better version of him in about every single way.
Now he has to fight for his wife (Aisling Bea), career, and very life as the series asks the question “Do we really want to be better?”
Not much is known about the series. Though, given the trailer, it’s clear that Rudd is the focal point. There’s a lot of great humor, but Rudd is also just a funny guy. So two Paul Rudds for the price of one? It’s really a no brainer.
Kudos to him for acting off of himself though. That’s just hard to do. He does it really well.
