It would be foolish to assume that “Crisis on Infinite Earths” would not have a huge effect on the CW’s Arrowverse. In fact, given the source material, it would probably have a bigger impact than Avengers: Endgame did.
Everything will change for the shows in the Arrowverse. One of the biggest changes will happen in The Flash. Ever since the pilot episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) going missing during a time of crisis has been hanging over everyone’s head. While, originally, it was happening in 2024, the events of season five has moved up that time table considerably.
Out of all of the shows, this will probably hang over The Flash the most. Well, it’s between The Flash and Arrow if we’re totally being honest here.
In a latest teaser for the upcoming season, we see Barry pull a Doctor Strange without the magic and wearing what looks like a version of Jay Garrick’s (John Wesley Shipp) helmet. By that, we mean he’s looking at as many possible futures as he can in order to see if this upcoming crisis can be avoided.
Unsurprisingly, it can’t.
So we really need to mentally prepare ourselves for what’s to come.
Check out the teaser below.
The Flash season six will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c on the CW.
