Disney has several upcoming Marvel TV shows on the docket. We’re excited about them all, obviously. The God of Mischief, however, has a special soft spot witho the 4 Your Excitement staff.
Needless to say, we’re excited for the solo Loki (Tom Hiddleston) series that will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service in a couple years.
Talking with Entertainment Weekly about his Broadway debut with Betrayal, Hiddleston had a little bit to say about Loki. The series will go in production at the top of 2020, according to the actor. He’s also excited about the new path that the character will go through in the upcoming series.
“It’s very, very exciting because in many ways it’s the character you know, but in a context you’ve never seen him in before. And if I say any more, I’m gonna say too much. So that’s what’s so thrilling — there’s so much to explore that I haven’t yet explored. That’s very exciting.”
The Loki in Loki is the one from the alternate timeline of Avengers: Endgame, who stole the Space Stone and peaced out while everyone was handle the heart attack that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) was having. He gets to go through a different kind of character development in the series.
Needless to say, it sounds pretty exciting.
Loki will premiere in Spring 2021 on Disney+. Previews for Betrayal begin on August 14th with a September 5th opening night.
