There’s rarely pair of superhero besties more iconic than Batman and Superman (no matter what Zach Snyder had to say about it). One of the coolest moments in last year’s Arrowverse crossover was seeing Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) interact.
Listen, we need Supergirl and Batwoman to be allies and buddies. I’ve been starved for such amazing interactions between a Supes and a Bats since the Justice League cartoon went off the air. With Arrow ending, we need a pair of shows on the CW to have a nice, friendly way to casually pop up. Yes, Supergirl takes place on an alternate Earth, but there are ways to write around it.
(Plus, there is a rumor going around that Supergirl will make an appearance on Batwoman outside of Crisis on Infinite Earths. So let’s make that happen, please.)
It’s clear that the CW knows you don’t mess with the World’s (or, in the cast, Worlds’) Finest. In a new promo for their “Super Sunday”, they know what a winning combination that can be. We don’t see any new footage, but the handshake from “Elseworlds” makes us squeer in delight every time.
Check out the promo below.
Batwoman premieres on Sunday, October 6th at 8/7c on the CW. Supergirl returns for its fifth season at 9/8c on the same night.
