Hey, Squirrelfriends! RuPaul‘s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars are not going anywhere anytime soon thanks to Vh1 declaring “Chante, You Stay” to both series this week.
Drag Race was renewed for Season 12 while All Stars nabbed a renewal for Season 5. Mama Ru herself shared the news of the renewals in a video, which you can see below!
Vh1 also shared that Season 12 is set to welcome “that fresh faced batch of fabulous drag queens eager to prove to the world that they have what it takes to become ‘America’s Next Drag Superstar” in a statement. As for Season 5 of All Stars, “the franchise’s most notable queens will return to the werk room to prove to Mama Ru why they deserve the crown and a coveted spot in the ‘Drag Race Hall of Fame’ [in All Stars 5].”
At this time, the premiere dates for both of the series have yet to decided. Also unknown at this time are who will be part of the judge’s panel as far as guest judges are concerned. Those additonal pieces of information will be revealed, as always, at a later time.
Season 12 of Drag Race crowned Yvie Oddly as its winner while Season 4 of All Stars declared Trinity the Tuck and Monet x Change as the show’s first dual winners, making Drag Race herstory in the process.
RuPaul has some exciting events coming up for herself as well as she is one of the many nominees for this year’s Emmys for Best Host, Best Reality Competition Series, and Best Unstructured Reality Series for Untucked.
