If you were a kid who watched the Disney Channel in the early 2000s, then you watched Lizzie McGuire.

Played by Hilary Duff, Lizzie’s adventures were chronicled from 2001-2004 as she dealt with the trials and tribulations of growing up from her best friends Miranda (Lalaine) and Gordo (Adam Lamberg) to mean girls at school to her annoying little brother Matt (Jake Thomas). It was notable for having Lizzie’s inner thoughts being narrated by an animated version of herself.

Now Lizzie is coming back!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Lizzie McGuire series is in development at Disney+ with Duff set to reprise her role and creator Terri Minsky set as showrunner.

The series will center around a “Lizzie as a 30-year-old millennial navigating life in New York City.” Additional details, however, are not available at this time. So far Duff is the only original cast member confirmed to return to the series.

As for Duff’s obligations to TVLand’s Younger, she will be juggling her roles on both series. Needless to say, she’s going to busy for a time.

This isn’t the first time that there was a continuation for Lizzie McGuire in the works. Following the movie, there were talks for a primetime scripted series on ABC after the 65 episode run on the Disney Channel. Talks, however, stalled.

There’s no timetable for the series release.
