Matt Ryan To Return As Constantine In Legends Of Tomorrow Season 5

Everyone’s fave zany superhero show Legends Of Tomorrow has a rotating cast of characters. So when the season ended, we have to wonder if there will be any reshuffling going on in the future. One character fans were really nervous about leaving the show is John Constantine (Matt Ryan), everyone’s favorite hot mess.

Season four focused a lot on magic, but, as with all seasons, season five may go into a new direction. No fear, Legends fans. We’ll see Ryan back in the trenchcoat in season five.

TVLine confirmed the return of the fan favorite character, saying: “Our own Matt, Mitovich, checked into this, and yes: Constantine’s portrayer is continuing as a series regular for Season 5 (premiering at midseason).”

Yaaaaaas.

We also learned in their little spoiler section that a (possible) new member will also board the Waverider in season five, “Rumor has it that Season 5 will introduce a new male character that can best be described as a cross between Captain Jack Sparrow and a Russian-accented Russell Brand.”

Honestly, we’re just really excited for this confirmation. Matt Ryan is just so good as Constantine and we hope he plays the character for as long as he wants.

Of course, we have a wait in to see our favorite crew of walking disasters.

Legends of Tomorrow season five will debut at midseason. However, the characters will more than likely appear during the “Crisis of Infinite Earths” event, as they are one of the five(!) shows involved in it.
