Chris Evans first post-MCU film will be released at the end of the month.
Netflix dropped the trailer for The Red Sea Diving Resort, and we may be fanning ourselves a little bit.
Evans stars in the film, based on true-life rescue missions. The film follows a group of international agents and Ethiopians who used a deserted resort in the Sudan in order to get thousands of refugees to Israel in the 1980s. Evans leads the team as Ari Levinson with his local partner Kabede Bimro (Michael Kenneth Williams).
The cast also includes Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola, Michiel Huisman, Chris Chalk, Greg Kinnear, and Ben Kingsley. It was directed and written by Gideon Raff (Homeland).
We joke about Evans’ beard, but the trailer for the film really does look excellent. It also brings to light an amazing story that many people probably never heard of. It just looks really great to be honest. We can’t wait to see it.
Evans has another film out this year, Rian Johnson’s Knives Out. It’s just a reminder that while we may have said goodbye to Evans as Steve Rogers in the MCU, we haven’t said goodbye to Chris Evans by a long-shot.
