As the old school Wonder Woman theme goes, all the world’s waiting for you, and the power you possess.
We’re very happy over here at 4 Your Excitement as the latest poster for the much anticipated second installment of Wonder Woman has been released.
Director Patty Jenkins has tweeted an unveiling of the new poster for Wonder Woman 1984.
By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full– But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait… pic.twitter.com/QllFzhYRA6

So, yes we are all a little sad to be told that Warner Bros. won’t be attending the iconic Hall H at San Diego Comic Con this year, but this sort of makes up for it. I guess. I can say that, because I’m not going either.
As Jenkins said, the full #WW84 campaign will kick off in December, ahead of the movie’s June 2020 release.
The poster reveals star Gal Gadot in all her golden armoured glory. Set against a very 80s prismatic background of colours in the W form. The costume seems to pay homage to the iconic Golden Eagle armour as worn by Diana Prince in the 1997 comic Kingdom Come. Minus the wings of course.

With Gadot reprising her hugely successful Wonder Woman, we will also see Chris Pine returning as Steve Trevor but how that works is yet to be revealed. Spoiler Alert (though really if you haven’t seen it, what have you been doing!) he got blown to bits in the original film. Other cast members include Kristen Wiig as the evil villain Cheetah and Pedro Pascal in a as yet unknown role and again rumours swirl of Lynda Carter making an appearance.
Wonder Woman 1984 hits cinemas worldwide on June 5, 2020.
