Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil Drops Its First Teaser Trailer: How Wicked Has She Become?

Fans of the villain Maleficent will have a lot to rejoice this year thanks to Disney. The juggernaut studio gave fans quite the treat this week when they released the official trailer for the sequel to Maleficent.

It’s been nearly fiver years since Angelina Jolie graced our screens as quite possibly Disney’s darkest villain.  The sequel, Mistress of Evil, marks a return to the wicked ways for Maleficent. The teaser trailer, which was released on Monday, does reveal that the epically-horned one might have some competition this go round.

As for who might be giving Maleficent a run for her money, it may be Michelle Pfeiffer’s new character Queen Ingrith. Also returning is Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, who looks to have found love in this film. Prince Phillip is also back though he will be played by Harris Dickinson, who is replacing Brenton Thwaites this go round.

Joining Jolie in the cast are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein as the film’s villain, Jenn Murray, Kae Alexander, Fernanda Diniz, and David Gyasi. Coming back for the sequel are are Sam Riley as the raven Diaval, as well as Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville as the Fairy Godmothers.

Based on the teaser, it is safe to say that Maleficent is just as deliciously evil as ever, and Jolie will be crushing it again.
