Godspeed is a very new addition to the mythos of The Flash. He was the major antagonist in the early run of The Flash: Rebirth.
Still the name does conjure up some excitement amongst fans of The Flash, the television series. Could Godspeed be the season six Big Bad appearing early? Because this is a big name to bring out just for one episode. Theories are abound about what’s going to happen when Danielle Panabaker makes her directorial debut on tonight’s episode of the series.
Godspeed is more than just your average speedster. He has the ability to sever a speedster’s connection to the Speed Force, which makes him a major threat. It’s definitely interesting to see what will go down with the character in “Godspeed”. Promotional material has been limited for the villain with the focus of the marketing being on the fallout of Barry (Grant Gustin) learning that Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) has been working with Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh).
We do have our first proper look at the character. It is very comic accurate.
For comparison, here is the comic version below.
Fans are definitely going to be wondering if Godspeed will return in a major way in season six. Currently, the two frontrunners for potential Big Bads amongst the fans are Godspeed and the Red Death (a Flash-Batman amalgamation from Dark Nights: Metal event).
