The Beyhive has been abuzz with some major freak outs.
On Sunday (April 7th), Netflix teased a special Beyoncé project titled Homecoming. Things were amped up yesterday (Monday, April 8th) when Netflix unveiled the trailer for the project, which is a documentary centered around Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella set.
Per the streaming service: “Homecoming presents an intimate look at Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella performance that paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities. Interspersed with candid footage and interviews detailing the preparation and powerful intent behind her vision, Homecoming traces the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.”
The trailer doesn’t give away much, which is typical of a Beyoncé project. It does, however, show snippets of rehearsals along with glimpses of husband Jay-Z and the couple’s three children: Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir. The film also has a huge focus on celebrating black excellence, which is permeated throughout.
Check out the trailer below.
Homecoming will be released on Netflix on April 17th.
