As fans wait on the precipice to find out if The God of Mischief REALLY is dead this time following Avengers: Infinity War. The news of the impending TV series is made even better by the announcement of a new comic book series.

As with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the comic book series Loki has died a few times too. It would appear to be one of his tricks, coming back to life.

Just going to stop you here and say if you are wanting to read the forthcoming War of the Realms, leave now; we’re gonna drop spoilers.

Let’s just back track a little and talk about the War of the Realms series which releases this month. It’s basically what Infinity War and Endgame is all about – complete and utter destruction and chaos and a few key deaths.  In the first issue alone Odin is killed by a squad of Dark Elf assassins sent by Malakeith and then  Loki … is eaten alive by his own father, the frost giant Laufey.

In July,  Marvel will release another stand alone comic book series, Loki. After all, you can’t keep a mischievous god down.

The new series is described as  follows: “After dying a grisly death in War of the Realms, Loki learned a valuable lesson in warmongering: Don’t get caught. But now he has a whole new set of responsibilities—and his brother Thor is not about to let him walk away from them this time.
