We don’t know when Disney+ will officially launch, but we do know that the streaming service is promising fans a lot of great content.
For Marvel fans, this includes television series based on Loki (Tom Hiddleston), a romance series focusing on Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), and a buddy series on Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Now we got a new project in the works, it’s one fans have been hoping for.
According to Variety, a Hawkeye television series is in development. It will star Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye. But that’s not the only Hawkeye that we will see.
Kate Bishop will make her MCU debut in the series in a major role. Bishop took the mantle Hawkeye when Barton became Ronin. The limited series is described as “an adventure series” that will focus on Barton officially passing the torch to Bishop.
Disney, Marvel, and Renner’s reps have all declined to comment on the project. At the moment, there is no news on any writers attached to the project.
If this series will be like the other announced series, then it will be about six to eight episodes long.
Fingers crossed that we get the official announcement soon!
