For those who have followed Australian star Chris Hemsworth’s career you’d be aware that he is in fact quite a wonderful comedic actor.
And now he is set to star in another big role in the Jay & Silent Bob Reboot.
He recently posted the following on his Instagram:
The man, the myth, the legend. The one and only @thatkevinsmith !!! Stoked to be a part of his next film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. What a pleasure it was hanging out mate 👍👍👍👍
Hemsworth and Kevin Smith are pictured against a green background with fingers on lips.
We don’t know what role Hemsworth, aka The God of Thunder, will take on but we hope it’s a meaty role that shows of more than his physical attributes.
This isn’t Hemsworths first comedy role. He was seen in the reboot of Vacation. Quite a bit of him in fact.
He also played the ‘dumb blonde’ Kevin in Ghostbusters, a role usually given to the women in comedy films. He aced it.
He is also set to appear on screens in another follow up film, Men In Black: International, alongside another Marvel actor, Tessa Thompson. The two had great comedic timing in Thor: Ragnarok. Hilariously, he plays Agent H in the film, which is due to hit cinemas in June this year.
There is some talk that he could play a parody of himself, much like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck did in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Affleck and Damon had previously worked with Smith and Jason Mewes in the cult classic Dogma.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is written and directed by Kevin Smith, who also stars in the film alongside Jason Mewes, Shannon Elizabeth, Jason Lee, Donnell Rawlings, Joey Lauren Adams and an assortment of other stars.
The film has no official release date as yet, but it is hoped it will hit screens late in 2019.
